Police in Toronto say they are investigating a shooting near the U.S. consulate early this morning.
They say officers in the area heard a firearm discharge near the U.S. consulate on University Avenue at 4:46 a.m.
Police say officers found evidence of the firearm discharge outside the consulate building.
They say a white sedan vehicle was seen fleeing the area.
The U.S. consulate was targeted in a shooting on the morning of March 10 when two suspects allegedly fired multiple shots at the building before driving away in a stolen vehicle.
Police had arrested 18-year-old Sheldon Tracy-Stewart and 19-year-old Zara Jabbi last month and charged them with multiple charges related to the shooting.
