The attack on a synagogue in Belleville, Ont., on Sunday during Yom Kippur was a hate-motivated crime, the city’s police chief confirmed at a press conference Thursday.
“Make no mistake, this was a targeted attack against the Jewish community,” Chief Murray Rodd said.
Chief Rodd said their investigation has determined this was “a deliberate attack directed at members of the Jewish community during one of the holiest observances of the year.”
More to come.
