The Edmonton Oilers have named Mike Babcock as the team’s new head coach. The hire comes after the NHL cleared Babcock to coach again after past concerns about how the veteran bench boss managed and interacted with players. Babcock says he met with the Oilers’ stars, and the players ‘100 per cent’ behind him.
